Tips for Printing Downloadable Art

Downloadable art prints are becoming a very enticing option for art these days, especially for last minute gift ideas. If you need help printing figuring out how or where to print your Etsy downloads, or any other online printable art, we have the answers.  Thankfully, there are several easy ways to print and frame them yourself.  Check out our tips below!

Here are our favorite options when it comes to printing your downloadable art prints:

*Print your art at home using a high quality ink jet printer, using white card stock (available at Hobby Lobby, Michael’s and most craft stores near the craft & scrapbooking sections) or photo paper. If your art has colors in it, be sure to have a color ink cartridge loaded.

*Upload your file image to online print shops such as snapfish, shutterfly.com, or mpix.com.

*You can put the downloaded file onto a thumb drive and take it to your local photo lab. Some labs to consider — Costco Photo, Staples, FedEx Kinkos, Office Depot, etc.

Quick Tip:  We personally recommend staying away from drugstores because the print quality will not be good.

Inexpensive Mats and Frames

If you’d like to take it to the next level and make your downloaded art gift ready to frame (which really puts the cherry on top!), be sure to check out the frames and pre-cut mat options at Hobby Lobby and Michael’s. You can find some money saving coupons here.
