There are boatloads of sites and ways to save, but we’re only going to share the easiest ones we use all of the time. You can save money VERY quickly, easily, and PAINLESSLY with our 5 easiest ways to save money with online shopping (and in real stores)!
Use Coupon Codes
This is the absolute easiest, most painless way to save online. You know when you check out online, and there’s usually a place for PROMO Code or Coupon Code? That’s where you will input your coupon codes. Our favorite place to find current coupon codes is Retail Me Not. It’s super simple – in the search bar of Retail Me Not, enter the website you’d like a coupon for. For example, you could enter oldnavy.com. If there are any current coupon codes, they will pop up. Click on the one you want, click copy, then go back to your shopping cart and paste/input the coupon code. Easy as that! Coupon codes tend to come out regularly for most stores, but especially during special holidays like Memorial Day, Labor Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, etc.
Sign up for Email Lists
A lot of companies reward their frequent shoppers with “email subscriber only” coupon codes. If you’re shopping at a specific store online, sign up for the email newletter to get special coupon codes. (Hint: Old Navy and Macy’s gives them often!) Some will also give your a coupon towards your first order – although many will give it to you to use on your next order. 😉 Some stores will also send you coupons in the mail as well, for use in-store or online.
“LIKE” Her Favorite Stores on Social Media
Many companies are now sharing “flash” type sales with their followers on social media. If you know you are going to be purchasing from certain stores, be sure to LIKE/follow their official pages on Facebook and Instagram. A lot of times they will give out a “followers only” coupon code, but you have to have “liked” their page to know about it and use it!
Use a Money Saving Coupon App
Again, there are many of these out there, but our favorite is the Honey coupon app. You can download it on your desktop/laptop, and your phone. When you go to check out and make your purchase, Honey will alert you that there are coupon codes and will go through and find the best available one for you. We’ve saved a lot of money with this app so far – you can even use it on Amazon. It’s so simple – you can go get Honey right here!
Coupons for Real Stores Near You
We frequently share items from Hobby Lobby and Michael’s craft stores on our gift guides. If you find yourself driving to Hobby Lobby or Michael’s, always remember you can pull up great coupons online! Hobby Lobby always has a coupon for 40% off of non-sale items that you can use any time. (If the item is on sale, you can’t use your coupon, but their sales are usually 40-50% off, so it’s basically the same thing!) Find Hobby Lobby’s coupon here, or just google “Hobby Lobby coupon”.
